MPS Design Team Challenge

I made this card for the My Pink Stamper Design Team Challenge. Two people will be chosen to serve on her design team, which sounds like a great opportunity! The challenge was to make a project using her favorite colors: pink, green, brown, and another color of your choice. I love MPS videos - I attribute much of my Cricut knowledge to her videos and tutorials, so thanks Robyn for all the instruction and inspiration! Keep it coming!

I chose to use my Cricut Imagine to make this birthday card. I fell in love with one of the frame designs on the Imagine More Cartridge (LOVE the rich colors), but I didn't love the "chick" that was included with the artwork, so I decided to use different elements instead. The A2 base of the card is Papertrey Ink in Sweet Blush. I then cut a rectangle at 4 1/4" using a patterned paper on the same cartridge. I then cut the "happy birthday" frame at 3 3/4", and I cut all the layers separately, not flattened. The butterfly is cut at 1 1/4" with a pattern from Imagine More Cards as well. The butterfly needed some subtle bling, so I added some self-adhesive pearls from Close to My Heart. The layers were then put together using pop dots, and a Offray grosgrain ribbon was added to one side.

Paper: Bazzil white cardstock, Papertrey Ink

So Tweet Cards

My five year old wanted to make some cards for her kindergarten teacher for Christmas. Her teacher is expecting, but didn't know if it was a boy or girl when we were making these, so we just did some of each. My five year old was able to work my Cricut by herself to do most of the cutting on these projects. That is impressive!
