I decided to make some greeting card sets for some of the people on my Christmas list. It took me FOREVER, but was lots of fun. I packaged them in these little wooden purses I found at Roberts, on sale for less than a $1... then I fancied them all up.
I finally photographed one project correctly, but this is the only one =). I made these note cards for my great grandma. I loved how they turned out. The paper is Silhouette from CTMH, and the little flower embellishment was off the Storybook cartridge (I think). I used my Fiskars threading water punch along the bottom. It had to go through a few layers of paper and did just fine.
These cards were great because they used left over paper squares from a cookie sheet calendar I made a long time ago. I had saved the squares forever and finally got to use them. Super cute. The paper is all Doodlebug, and I just inked the edges of the white paper so they would stand out. The "thanks" is a CTMH stamp.
These cards I made for my aunt. The paper is from Basic Grey and the stamps are CTMH. I loved how these ones turned out as well. The vintage label shape is from the Storybook cartridge as well... love that one.
This card also uses the Storybook cartridge for the flower. I wasn't happy with this card in the end, something not quite like I wanted it, but can't put my finger on it. I LOVE the paper though, a newer pack from CTMH. The stamp is from CTMH as well, and I used a Fiskars scallop punch towards the bottom to help anchor the blue color.
These are little 3 x 3 cards requested by my mother-in-law. I started them over four time the last few months until this design came out a winner. I ended up loving them. The paper is from Imaginesce and the "happy birthday" is a rub on from that same collection. The buttons are adhesive buttons from Sassafrass. I found them for super cheap at the Scrapbook Expo and should have bought more!
This card is all CTMH -- the paper is "Key to my Heart" and I mixed a few stamp sets to make the flower. I have made a card similar to this with other paper before. It was quick and easy.
This last card has a story -- every year we tease Nate's grandma at Christmas by giving her a BYU present (she is a die-hard UTE fan). This year I decided to be nice and wasn't going to do anything about the rivalry, but this idea came to me last minute and I had to just do it! These are THANK U cards, ha ha ha. I created the U in Design Studio just using a rectangle off of Accent Essentials. I bought the U of U paper from Roberts, and the ribbon is Bazzil. The "thank" is a CTMH stamp that I just covered the "S" on to make it work right.
